Yep, they actually wrote this stuff down. Ok, maybe we embellish our headlines a tiny bit. But Bush-era memos released by the Obama Justice Department show that Bush lawyers worked up legal justifications for possible suppression of the first and fourth amendments, ignoring treaties and Congress, and a few other things that’ll make you want to pack your bags for Tajikistan or someplace else that values the rule of law and its constitution more than Cheney and those other Vader Vampires.

So if this is the stuff that was actually written down, and that Obama saw fit to release, what else was at least mentioned in the backrooms and corridors of power after 9/11?

Fortunately for the future of democracy, WBR has gotten a hold of some secret notes from the Bush administration, apparently written in what our forensic experts tell us is Christie Todd Whitman’s blood, with a little bit of Ari Fleischer’s mixed in. We can only assume the penmanship is Cheney’s. Here’s some of the highlights:

1. Freedom of religion… replace ‘religion’ with ‘Christianity’
2. Consider activating “search and/or destroy” trigger in the common house cat.
3. Keep spying on the Quakers… still can’t be trusted after all these years.
4. Buy off  Jon Stewart? Worked with Dennis Miller…
5. New spelling of National Security: P-A-N-T-Y R-A-I-D-S!
6. Shouldn’t race, party choice and socio-economic status be pre-condition for second amendment rights? I mean, seriously.
7. Continue to drive the economy into the ground, until a second Great Depression hits just as the new guy takes office.
8. No, I don’t give a shit if it’s McCain. Fuck that guy.
9. Give all the illegals immigrants driver’s licenses just to fuck with them, then send them all back.
