Did Obama Go “Full Retard” on Tonight Show? Prez Cracks at Expense of Special Olympics on Leno

At last – someone in a real position of power said something inconsequential but just stupid enough that we can waste time discussing it and finally kick Meghan McCain and Laura Ingraham (who?) to the curb.

Obie One made an off-hand comment on Leno tonight when asked about his bowling game, comparing one of his low scores to “like the Special Olympics or something.”

We’re thinking this might be one of the pitfalls of keeping the campaigning going full swing over fifty days after taking office; let’s just hope Joe Biden doesn’t go on Jimmy Fallon anytime soon – one train wreck is one thing, but a train wreck waiting to happen being interviewed by a rolling train wreck is quite another.

Here’s the closest we could get to the actual vid tonight – comment on what you think – did Big O blow the late night talk show appearance for all future Presidents? Does it matter since network talk shows will be obsolete by the end of his presidency?

I think that when it comes to comedy people need to relax and not be so uptight. Don’t take things so personally. You have to have a sense of humor to deal with life. Political correctness can be the death of all culture if we take it too far. I for one do not take it personally when someone makes a joke at my expense.

Mark my words – in the end, the ultimate unintended effect will be that the Special Olympics will get tremendous positive PR exposure for which they would have had to spend millions. And I wouldn’t be surprised if it didn’t include public support from an articulate and graciously apologetic Barack Obama himself.
